The park

SNOW does not fall in Vancouver, or at least not usually.....the past 36 hours have not been usual as the white stuff has been falling steadily. We had already planned a snowshoe trip up to a local mountain with our friends. At the bottom of the mountain we were turned away due to the "SEVERE WINTER driving conditions on the road up to the mountain" the park attendent asked if we had snow tires (duh, see sentence number one). None of our friends had 4x4s or winter tires so we had to come up with a quick back up plan. We settled for a lower elevation walk through a park only 1/4 of the way up the mountain on a different access road. Here are a couple photos.....
