The Looong Weekend

Here's a sample of what we got up to over the long weekend. We hiked to Garibaldi Lake (near Whistler) 9km to do some snow camping. The weather was better than expected (we didn't get wet) and even though we were prepared - we certainly didn't expect to see that much snow at the lake!! It took us 4.5 hours to reach the lake, which sits at 1500 metres (that includes the fact that we took a "shortcut") yes, that's sarcasm!
